'I wouldn't change Robben with any other player at the World Cup' - Dirk Kuyt

The former Liverpool forward also expressed his surprise that Javier Hernandez is not a regular starter for Mexico.

HOLLAND FACE MEXICO in their World Cup last 16 clash and attacker Dirk Kuyt says he would prefer no other player in his team than Arjen Robben.

The Dutch winger has been one of the outstanding players of a tournament where attack has dominated defence. Robben has scored three times in three games and his sole assist was for Memphis Depay’s goal in the 2-0 win over Chile, which maintained Holland’s 100% record.

Lionel Messi, Karim Benzema, Neymar and James Rodriguez have all starred in the opening fixtures, as has Holland striker Robin van Persie, but Kuyt knows who he wants in his corner against Mexico. “‘[Robben] is doing a great job so far and, at the moment, I wouldn’t change him with any other player in the tournament.

“He has scored great goals, gave a great assist for Memphis and hopefully he can give these performances until the end.”

The former Liverpool player also expressed his surprise that Manchester United’s Javier Hernandez is not starting up front for the Mexicans. Kuyt commented, “He’s a great player so that must mean Mexico has a very good team if he is on the bench.”
