THE WEXFORD COUNTY board have suspended ticket sales ahead of their All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship quarter-final with Limerick this weekend.
The game is due to be the first part of a double header at Semple Stadium, Thurles at 2pm on Sunday July 27 with Dublin and Tipperary contesting the 4pm throw-in.
However, in a statement on their official website, Wexford say a problem has arisen where “demand for stand tickets has far exceeded the quantity received.”
It continues: “As a result sales of all tickets have been suspended for the moment until Wednesday afternoon.

“We are endeavouring to obtain more stand tickets in order to meet the demands of our loyal supporters.”
If extra tickets can’t be secured, the county board have suggested the GAA’s Central Competitions Control Committee make alternative arrangements to move the game to Croke Park.
