Irish pair Seamus Coleman and James McCarthy started for the visitors with new signing Aiden McGeady coming off the bench, while former Ireland international Steven Reid featured in Pepe Mel’s first starting XI.

However, Coleman was forced off after picking up an injury midway through the second half. The game finished 1-1.
