Birmingham City’s Championship clash with Leeds United was halted this afternoon after Wes Thomas’s 38th-minute strike broke the goal.

Groundstaff at St Andrew’s were summoned to make emergency repairs to one of the stanchions, and after a lengthy delay, play resumed with nine minutes added on at the end of the first half.

It finished 1-1 after Alex Mowatt equalised for the visitors in the 76th minute.
