WES HOOLAHAN IMPRESSED as he had a hand in all three goals for Ireland’s win in Moldova last Sunday.

And the Dubliner picked up where he left off for Norwich in the Championship today.

The ex-Shelbourne player was influential as the Canaries beat Rotherham 3-1, scoring the opening goal of the game.

It continues what has been an encouraging start to the season for Hoolahan and Norwich.

Alex Neil’s side went top of the Championship after the win with current leaders Huddersfield not playing until tomorrow, when they face Sheffield Wednesday.

Elsewhere in the Championship, a goal from Ireland’s Ciaran Clark helped Newcastle to a 3-1 victory at home to Brentford, with Scott Hogan on target for the visitors.
