Wes Hoolahan continues to show his class with two goals just a week before the Championship starts

Hoolahan netted twice against Hannover at Carrow Road this afternoon.

IRELAND MIDFIELDER WES Hoolahan was on target once again for Norwich in their final game of pre-season.

Having scored on his return from international duty in midweek, the diminutive 34-year-added another two this afternoon, this time against German side Hannover, who like the Canaries, suffered relegation last season.

Alex Neil’s side found themselves three goals down by the 50th minute, but two quick strikes from the Irish international dragged Norwich back in the game.

Hoolahan’s first goal was a clever dink over Hannover goalkeeper Philipp Tschauner after a fine pass from Graham Dorrans.

The former Shelbourne man got a second just eight minutes later, as he rounded the hapless Hannover shot-stopper after a superb one-two.

Hoolahan was replaced with 10 minutes remaining with the game finishing 3-2 to the visitors.

Norwich start life back in the Championship on Saturday with a trip to Ewood Park to take on Owen Coyle’s Blackburn Rovers, but it remains to be seen if Hoolahan will still be a Canary by the end of the window.
