Weather beats Hawaii golfers again

The season-opening PGA Tour event at Kapalua Plantation Course has been reduced to 54 holes, with 36 holes scheduled for Sunday and 18 holes for Monday.

THE FIRST ROUND of the Hyundai Tournament of Champions was postponed again on Saturday due to inclement weather.

The season-opening PGA Tour event at Kapalua Plantation Course has been reduced to 54 holes, with 36 holes scheduled for Sunday and 18 holes for Monday.

Some golfers were able to tee off on Friday before tournament officials chose to try and make a fresh start on Saturday.

But further rainfall and high winds saw any hope of play ended shortly before 11am local time.
