KENNY DALGLISH HAS refused to be drawn on rumours linking Fernando Torres with a quickfire return to Liverpool in the January transfer window.
The 27-year-old Spaniard moved to Chelsea almost a year ago in a record £50m deal but has failed to spark in West London, scoring only five goals.

Reports emerged this week that the striker would be sold for as little as £20m but Dalglish is keeping his New Year spending plans to himself.
“We don’t speculate on anybody – either our own players or somebody else’s players,” he told a press conference before Sunday’s game against Aston Villa.
“It doesn’t matter what we say, there is going to be speculation in the newspapers – but we won’t be here to answer every question that’s in newspapers.
“We’ll do our business the way we’ve been brought up to do our business and that’s privately behind closed doors.”
Dalglish is also facing a selection headache in the centre of midfield. With lynchpin Lucas Leiva ruled out for the season, Steven Gerrard still not fit and Jay Spearing suspended, he is likely to pair Charlie Adam and Jordan Henderson against Villa, with Jonjo Shelvey in reserve.
Typically, the Scottish tactician would not say if it was an area that he planned to strengthen when the window reopens.
“We have the option to add if we want to, but we also have another option that we don’t have to,” he added.
