FORMER WBA & IBF champion Amir Khan has confirmed that he will take on the unbeaten Danny Garcia on July 14.
Khan had been scheduled for a rematch with Lamont Peterson this month but saw that bout cancelled because his opponent failed a drug test. Peterson, who beat Khan in controversial circumstances, has since appealed and is awaiting the decision.

Golden Boy Promotions, Khan’s US promoters, have now lined up Philadelphia-based Garcia, who holds the WBC light-welterweight title after defeating Erik Morales in March, for the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
“It’s a great match-up with the WBC title on the line,” the 25-year-old Khan told Sky Sports.
He has quite a similar style (to Peterson). Garcia is a come-forward fighter; he has a good knockout percentage.
“It is going to be me being as the boxer again. I’ll have to be smart, hit, move and try and be one step ahead of him all the time.”
