GIF: Should Wayne Rooney have been sent off for this kick?

The Manchester United star made a silly tackle during the first half of their meeting with Cardiff City.

WAYNE ROONEY HAS been in the thick of the action away to Cardiff this afternoon.

With just seven minutes on the clock, a race for the ball between Rooney and Jordan Mutch saw the England striker kick out at his opponent.

Luckily for United, referee Neil Swarbrick only deemed the foul a yellow card offence.

On 14 minutes, Rooney then rubbed salt into Cardiff’s wounds by scoring the opening goal of the game.

Really? I give you an example of the fact bad decisions can benefit any team and you reply with abuse, how is that proof? Do you also say refs are now pro-Everton? Pro-Stoke after Brown’s ridiculous red? Pro-Chelsea after the ridiculous penalty in the last round of fixtures? Or has our years of success left you so embittered that you have to grasp at the invention of conspiracy theories to rationalise it?

Look at the Ire v NZ game and the difference in the refferring. Miles and miles ahead of anything on a soccer pitch. We don’t want the game pulled up for every incident but another set of eyes on the ref cam would assist.

You should have bled or have a few knocks or bruises at some stage during the course of the game, the only blood the overpaid players of the day have coming off the field is on their tampons.!! Sick looking at Ashley young and the powerpuffgirls brigade diving and rolling around like somebody pepper sprayed them….Get up you pansy and play the game I say !

Niall, that has to be one of the most pointless, and irreverent comment anyone has ever made on The Score. The only thing the referee’s need to consider when a challenge like that is made, are the rules of the game. Implying that Rooney is passionate, and Suarez is a thug, is only your opinion. Would you like to point out any real reason why it was only a yellow card challenge, or do you actually believe the rules of the game were created for your convince?
