Waterford's team for the Munster U21 championship clash with Cork is a strong one

Several players who played in the recent Munster SHC semi-final win over the Rebel are set to feature.

WATERFORD HAVE NAMED their team to play Cork in the Bord Gáis Energy Munster U21 Championship opener at Páirc Rinn on Wednesday.

While the Rebels are missing several regulars through injury, the Déise have selected seven players who featured for the senior team in their win over Cork in the Munster semi-final earlier this month.

Shane Bennett is in the half-backs while his brother Stephen gets the nod in the half-forwards. Tadhg De Búrca is handed the number 6 jersey, Tom Devine partners Austin Gleeson in midfield and there are also places in the forward line for Colin Dunford and Patrick Curran.
