CLARE WILL FACE Kerry next Sunday in Cusack Park after making light work of Waterford in their Munster Senior Football Championship quarter-final replay in Dungarvan this evening.
Goals from Gary Brennan, Shane Brennan and Rory Donnelly helped secure an eight point win despite a slow start that saw them trail by four points to no score after 10 minutes.
Waterford made their fast start despite referee Maurice Deegan black carding Shane Aherne for a tackle on Martin McMahon in the opening minute but Gary Brennan’s 24th minute goal brought his side level and the Banner never looked back as they went on to lead 1-6 to 0-6 at the break.

Waterford’s cause was not helped, however, by another black card, this time to Tommy Prendergast, three minutes before the break.

The Deise must now regroup for an All-Ireland qualifier against the losers of tomorrow’s Leinster SFC quarter-final between Meath and Carlow in a fortnight’s time.
