WATCH: Melbourne bids farewell to Irish legend Stynes

Stynes’ wife Samantha and brother Brian shared their memories of the Melbourne Demons legend in a highly-emotional service earlier.

THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE filled the streets of Melbourne today to say a last goodbye to Dublin-born Jim Stynes.

The former All-Ireland minor football championship winner died after a long and public battle with cancer last week.

In an emotional service, attended by GAA President Christy Cooney, at the city’s St Paul’s Cathedral, Stynes’ wife Samantha and brother Brian shared their memories of the Melbourne Demons legend.
