WATCH: Leo Messi breaks Barca goalscoring record

The Argentinian has now scored an incredible 234 goals for his club at the tender age of 24.

BARCELONA’S LIONEL MESSI has broken the club’s all-time goalscoring record with a hat-trick against Granada tonight.

The player overtakes Cesar Rodriguez’s previous record of 232 goals for the Spanish club.

The Argentinian has now scored 54 goals in all competitions this season.

In a statement earlier today, Barcelona added:

“It’s worth noting that Cesar Rodriguez is the club’s all-time top goalscorer in official matches, but the absolute record belongs to Paulino Alcantara, who scored 369 goals in 357 official and friendly matches.”

Barcelona won the match 5-3 and are now five points behind Real Madrid, who have a game in hand on their rivals.
