NEW LIVERPOOL SIGNING Charlie Adam scored from the spot on his first start for the club as Kenny Dalglish’s side won another high-scoring friendly victory, 6-3 against the Malaysia All Stars.
Adam, a £6.75million signing from Blackpool was a lively presence in the opening exchanges and after 25 minutes played in Carroll, who went down in the area and earned the penalty. Adam had to take the spot-kick twice but sent the keeper the wrong way to make it 1-0.
Mohammad Safiq Rahim then equalised with a fine free-kick five minutes from half-time however.

Dalglish made 11 substitutions at half-time and after 68 minutes David Ngog – who will be staying at the club according to John Henry – scored following some poor defending. The Frenchman added a second moments later as the Reds swamped their opponents.

Maxi then scored a second of his own in the last minute as the All-Stars chased the equaliser, with Dirk Kuyt making it six deep in injury time.
