MAN UNITED BEAT Crystal Palace 2-0 this afternoon, however their first goal came in controversial circumstances.

Ashley Young earned a penalty after what appeared a clear foul by Kagisho Dikgacoi, with the defensive midfielder subsequently receiving a red card for being the last man.

However, replays revealed that the infringement seemed to take place outside the box.

Ironically, Young had previously been booked for attempting to win a penalty with a clear dive (see below).

And Wayne Rooney subsequently curled a free-kick into the net to double United’s advantage and secure their win.
