Villa player arrested on suspicion of drink driving
ASTON VILLA HAVE launched an investigation into a car crash in which midfielder Barry Bannan was involved.
The 21-year-old, along with Shrewsbury striker James Collins, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a motorway crash at 5.30am on Sunday.
Bannan was not at Villa’s training ground on Monday, while manager Alex McLeish was unwilling to elaborate too much on the matter.
McLeish told reporters:
