Villa to offer Ireland U21 star Grealish new four-year deal amid Chelsea interest

It is also understood that the star is eager to continue with his current club.

ASTON VILLA WILL offer 18-year-old Ireland U21 star Jack Grealish a new contract amid reports that Chelsea are attempting to lure the player away from the club.

The midfielder, who turns 19 tomorrow, will be offered a new four-year contract, with his current deal set to expire in the summer, according to widespread media reports in the UK.

It is also understood that Grealish is eager to continue with Villa and ignore the London club’s advances provided a satisfactory deal can be struck.

Following a successful loan stint at Notts County last season, the youngster has already made two appearances in the Villa first team this year, as well as one last season.

The player’s international future has also been the subject of much speculation lately, with Martin O’Neill suggesting he was still undecided as to whether to represent England or Ireland at senior level.
