NEMANJA VIDIC HAS been sent to Spain by Manchester United in an attempt to increase his chances of being fit for the start of next season.
The centre-back ruptured a cruciate ligament against Basel in the Champions League in December. United have missed the Serbian defender but manager Alex Ferguson is hoping he will be fully fit for the start of next season’s campaign.
“We sent Vida to a complex in Spain last week,” he told the Daily Mail. ”He’s not doing any running yet, just work in the gym.
“He’ll miss the summer tour but hopefully will be ready for the start of the season.”
