IT WAS SUPPOSED to be the week he made his comeback to the pinnacle of golfing excellence.
Instead, Tiger Woods dropped almost completely out of contention at the US Open.
As he trudged off the 18th green after his sixth bogey of the round, he appeared completely oblivious to the cameraman taking a routine low position for a shot of Woods coming through the crowd.
Head down, Tiger veered left and despite the cameraman shuffling to get out of his way, his right hand hit the camera in stride.
When asked about the hand, Woods gave his interviewer the cold, hard; ‘ oh, I bet you’d like it if I told you how I really felt, would you.’ stare before smiling and staying in monosyllabic mode with, “It’s fine.”
