OREGON SCORED A one-point safety in its 35-17 win over Kansas State in the Fiesta Bowl.
It’s one of the rarest plays in college football. According to Big Lead Sports, it hasn’t happened in eight years.

What happened: Kansas State blocked Oregon’s extra point, a K-State player recovered it outside the endzone and then ran backwards into the endzone, where the ball was declared dead. That results in a one-point safety.
It’s all the more fitting that it happened in what will probably be the final game at Oregon for coach Chip Kelly — who has shown us things we rarely see in college football time and time again over the years. He’s expected to interview with the Bills, Browns, and Eagles over the next few days.
