THE MAJORITY OF Ireland’s athletes returned home today, following what was arguably the country’s most successful Olympic Games ever.
Team Ireland returned with one gold, one silver and three bronze medals, equalling their highest medal tally ever, which was set at the Melbourne Olympics in 1956.
