THE SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE season is back up and running after this morning’s Australian conference clash between the Melbourne Rebels and the Western Force.

You can see the highlights above but, essentially, here’s what you missed.

  • James O’Connor’s hair… it’s okay though, he’ll soon shave it off in aid of autism charity Spectrum Superstars.
  • It doesn’t feature in this video, but Alby Matthewson’s yellow card (for tugging a jersey when the ball was already dead) was one of the softest we’ve ever seen.
  • Richard Kingi winded himself when diving to score the game’s decisive try. Serves him right.
  • A hard-fought contest was edged by the Rebels 30-23.

Make sure you get up early tomorrow morning for the Reds’ cross-country trip to face the Brumbies in Canberra.
