VIDEO: Robbie Keane on the mark as LA Galaxy cruise to win in MLS opener

LA’s new skipper enjoyed a winning start to the season.

ROBBIE KEANE GOT his tenure as LA Galaxy skipper off to a winning start overnight.

Mike Magee netted a hat-trick as the MLS champions strolled to a 4-0 home win over the Chicago Fire in the opening game of the MLS season. The Ireland forward opened his account with the other goal for Los Angeles as well as being involved in a couple of Magee’s goals.

The Galaxy scored the opener on 38 minutes when Magee fired a one-touch volley past Sean Johnson in the Chicago goals.

With 10 minutes left in the match, Magee and substitute Michael Stephens combined to work a corner high to the far post, where Omar Gonzalez headed it down, where Keane tucked the goal away.
