IT WAS A less than auspicious start for Stuart Pearce’s Team GB as they played a match against Mexico’s under-23 side in Marbella.
The match had received little publicity beforehand, which was probably no bad thing as the single camera seemed to spend most of its time pointed towards Jack Butland’s goal.
Mexico had numerous shots on goal and won the match 1-0, despite the fact that Team GB’s overage trio of Ryan Giggs, Craig Bellamy and Micah Richards were all playing.
