VIDEO: Close to tears, Paul Galvin admits win over Tyrone means a lot to hurting Kingdom

“We’ve been carrying a lot of hurt for the last eight or 10 years,” the Kerry forward said.

PAUL GALVIN WAS close to tears in the wake of Kerry’s impressive win over Tyrone in Killarney this evening.

The Finuge man picked up the man-of-the-match award at Fitzgerald Stadium as the Kingdom ran out 1-16 to 1-6 winners.

“We gave a hug performance from start to finish out there,” Galvin told TV3′s Kieran Fitzgerald afterwards. “What do you say about this Kerry team? Hard to know.. they’re great men you know and we were put to the pin of our collar.

“A lot of the talk during the week, writing this team off served only to fuel great men in that dressingroom.”
