Wait, where’s the ball?

MARK THIS DAY and remember it as the moment when lacrosse finally featured on TheScore.ie.

Why? Because this is a clip of a goal scored by John Tavares of the Buffalo Bandits thanks to a superb piece of hoodwinkery (which we are now coining as a word).

You see, while one of Tavares’ team-mates pretended to have the ball and bore down on the Philadelphia Wings’ goal, the National Lacrosse League’s all-team leading scorer was able to amble in unopposed and score before anybody had a clue what was going on.

Genius, pure and simple.
