JR SMITH SUNK a buzzer-beater to get the depleted New York Knicks past the Phoenix Suns 99-97 on Wednesday night.
The Knicks were without two of their best players in Carmelo Anthony and Raymond Felton, averaging 28.5 and 15.8 points respectively this season, but still managed to bounce back from their Christmas Day loss to the Lakers thanks to Smith’s heroics at the death.
Smith levelled the scores at 97 with 10.6 seconds left to play before a turnover opened up the court for the shooting guard, who sank a tough jump shot to win the game for the visitors in Phoenix.
