Trailing 2-1 from the first leg, Jose Mourinho badly needed a result to ease the tension that surrounds Los Blancos. Little wonder then, he went completely apoplectic when he thought Cristiano Ronaldo had been tripped with the score still at 2-0 in the first half.

Ronaldo had given the Spanish champions the two-goal cushion and completed his hat-trick with an 86th minute strike before Sami Khedira bundled a fourth home in stoppage time.
But nobody will talk about Ronaldo’s treble, they’ll talk about Mourinho’s Staunton-esque freak-out.
