FORMER LIVERPOOL STAR John Barnes has long been fondly remembered for his rapping turn on New Order’s ‘World in Motion,’ in addition to his footballing exploits.
While not quite matching Hoddle and Waddle levels of awfulness, it’s no surprise that Barnes didn’t pursue a long-term career in music thereafter.
However, he did make a brief musical return recently, performing his take on The Sugarhill Gang song ‘Rapper’s Delight’ at the birthday of fellow former footballer Mark Wright.
And it’s not even the only time Barnes has rapped the song in public, having also performed it for The Redmen TV of late.
Watch his latest attempt below and prepare to cringe.
