VIDEO: 'Jack owes Kerry nothing' -- Darran O'Sullivan looking to next year

The Kingdom forward admits Eamonn Fitzmaurice would be a ‘great’ appointment’ after O’Connor’s departure.

DARRAN O’SULLIVAN WAS in Croke Park this afternoon to meet the press.

And with Kerry already out of the championship having lost to Donegal in the All-Ireland quarter-finals, the Glenbeigh man admits he found GAA HQ ‘a little depressing’.

Jack O’Connor has walked away from the Kingdom management job and when asked about the possibility of Kerry favourite Eamonn Fitzmaurice taking over the reins, by TV3′s Kieran McSweeney, he said:

“If you could get someone like Eamon in… he’s a great man, he was a great player and he’s showed over the past couple of years he has a lot to offer management-wise.

“Whether he wants to take it or not now is another thing but if he did want it, it’d be great I suppose because it wouldn’t be such a dramatic change,” he added.
