“Never mind the money, as a martial artist, to represent the Ultimate Fighting Championship – the premiere organisation in mixed martial arts – it’s a dream come true,” said McGregor who, up to winning his first UFC bout against Marcus Brimage last week, had been on the dole.
“I honestly can’t put into words how good I feel, it’s all my dreams come true. In 67 seconds I’ve gone from having nothing and now here we are on the Late Late Show!”
Tubridy later said that, had Muhammad Ali hailed from Dublin, he’d sound like McGregor.
