VIDEO: Conor McGregor and Cathal Pendred on the Late Late

McGregor told host Ryan Tubridy that he is yet to tell the nice people at Social Welfare to go forth and prosper.

MIXED MARTIAL ARTISTS Conor McGregor and Cathal Pendred appeared on the Late Late Show on Friday night, and it was quite the spectacle.

McGregor expressed his delight to be sitting opposite Ryan Tubridy and alongside his good friend Pendred.

“Never mind the money, as a martial artist, to represent the Ultimate Fighting Championship – the premiere organisation in mixed martial arts – it’s a dream come true,” said McGregor who, up to winning his first UFC bout against Marcus Brimage last week, had been on the dole.

“I honestly can’t put into words how good I feel, it’s all my dreams come true. In 67 seconds I’ve gone from having nothing and now here we are on the Late Late Show!”

Tubridy later said that, had Muhammad Ali hailed from Dublin, he’d sound like McGregor.
