VIDEO: Beckham lets frustration boil over in the 'California Clasico'

Following his Olympics disappoitment, Beckham showed his best and his worst as LA Galaxy played the San Jose Earthquakes.

DAVID BECKHAM CLEARLY let his Olympics disappointment get to him as he became involved in a melee while playing for the LA Galaxy against San Jose Earthquakes.

The former England captain kicked the ball into the face of stricken opponent Sam Cronin from all of 20 yards, sparking angry scenes between the two sets of opposing players.

After the end of the game Beckham, who had scored a brilliant (note that we’re not using the word t*******k) free-kick in a game that ended in a 4-3 defeat for the Galaxy, got involved in some pushing and shoving with opposing players and the San Jose mascot.

He will now be banned for one match for an accumulation of yellow cards.

The 37-year-old admitted his disappointment this week after Team GB boss Stuart Pearce opted to include Manchester City defender Micah Richards ahead of Beckham in his squad for London 2012.

The selection denied Beckham the chance to link up with his former Manchester United team-mate Ryan Giggs at the Games.
