JHONATTAN VEGAS CONTINUED his scintillating form at the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in Las Vegas overnight.
The Venezuelan followed up his bogey-free first round with a card of 67 that included an eagle and four birdies and still leads the field, alongside Kevin Na and Charlie Wi.
Na recorded a 63 to move into contention and the trio now lead the event from three more competitors – Brendan Steele, Tim Herron and Kris Blanks – who are a single shot back on -11.
The round of the day was Hunter Haas’, however. The American collected an incredible nine birdies, one eagle and a bogey for a final tally of 61, a ten-under-par round, and is now in a share of seventh with eight other golfers – including one of Thursday evening’s leaders William McGirt.
