USAIN BOLT HAS revealed he does not want a wildcard into the 100m sprint at the 2013 World Championships.
Bolt – who has won six Olympic gold medals, including 100m successes in 2008 and 2012 – was eligible for a wildcard entrance under rules stated by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF).
But Bolt’s fellow Jamaican, Yohan Blake, is the reigning world champion over the distance and can also enter the event via a wildcard.

With just one wildcard per country per event, confusion reigned over the issues before Bolt told reporters on Tuesday that he would attempt to qualify through the Jamaican trials.
“I think (Yohan) Blake has earned his right to compete in the 100 metres by winning the title at the last world championship,” Bolt said.
“I was always going to run the 100 at Jamaica’s world championship trials next summer.”
Bolt is also eligible to run in the 200m as a wildcard entrant but says he will leave any decision to the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA).
Another Jamaican, Nickel Ashmeade, is the Diamond League champion over the distance but Bolt won gold in London in the 200m event, causing another dilemma over who to choose.
“That will have to be determined on what the JAAA will decide,” he said.
“They are the ones who are eligible to pick which wildcard they would like. The JAAA will have to say whether I will have to run (the 200m) at the trials or not.”
