President Obama calls up US players Tim Howard and Clint Dempsey

‘I just wanted to call to say you guys did us proud,’ said Barack.

THE US TEAM won’t contest the quarter-finals of the World Cup this weekend after going out in extra-time to Belgium on Tuesday night.

President Barack Obama was pictured watching Jurgen Klinsmann’s side play on Air Force One and yesterday took the chance to call captain Clint Dempsey and goalkeeper Tim Howard to thank them for their efforts.
