HERE’S HOW THE teams line-up for the Group D opener between Uruguay and Costa Rica (kick-off at 8pm GMT).
As expected, Luis Suarez isn’t risked but has been named on the bench.
Uruguay: 1-Fernando Muslera; 16-Maximiliano Pereira, 2-Diego Lugano, 3-Diego Godin, 22-Martin Caceres; 17-Egidio Arevalo Rios, 5-Walter Gargano, 11-Christian Stuani, 7-Cristian Rodriguez; 10-Diego Forlan, 21-Edinson Cavani
Costa Rica: 1-Keylor Navas; 16-Cristian Gamboa, 3-Giancarlo Gonzalez, 4-Michael Umana, 7-Christian Bolanos, 6-Oscar Duarte, 17-Yeltsin Tejeda, 15-Junior Diaz; 5-Celso Borges, 10-Bryan Ruiz; 9-Joel Campbell
A couple of Costa Rican names that stand-out. Bryan Ruiz is always capable of something magical while Arsenal’s Joel Campbell was on loan at Olympiakos last season and scored that absolute cracker against Manchester United in the Champions League.
Here’s hoping for something similar this evening.
