Trimble was an injury doubt after the win in Cardiff.

Bowe and Trimble included in strong Ulster team to face Edinburgh

Trimble lines out for Ulster for the first time since October.

TOMMY BOWE AND Andrew Trimble will line out for Ulster tomorrow night, in a side loaded with International talent.

Trimble hasn’t played for the province since last October when he suffered a toe injury, and after featuring for Ireland in the win against Wales in Cardiff, he was rumoured to be an injury doubt after damaging his foot.

However, Joe Schmidt has released the winger back to his province for game-time this weekend, and should he get through the outing unscathed, it’s expected he’ll be named in Schmidt’s 31-man squad on Monday.

Trimble and Bowe are joined by Craig Gilroy at full-back in what looks like an exciting back line, with Luke Marshall and Stuart McCloskey partnering in the centre, and Paul Marshall and Ian Humphreys in the half backs.

Head coach Neil Doak hands the captaincy for the evening to Rob Herring at hooker, and he’s joined by Wiehahn Herbst and Andrew Warwick in the front row.

Dan Touhy and Franco van der Merwe form a strong second row partnership, while in the backrow Clive Ross and Sean Reidy will start on the flanks with Robbie Diack in between them at number 8.
