CONOR McGREGOR AND Nate Diaz served up one of the most memorable contests in UFC history on Saturday night, with McGregor emerging victorious via majority decision after five dramatic rounds at UFC 202 in Las Vegas.
There was no shortage of bad blood between the rival camps in the build-up to the fight, but as evidenced in this preview to UFC 202: The Thrill and the Agony, that was all put to one side in the immediate aftermath.

“Great fight, brother,” said McGregor, as the pair embraced in the octagon before the decision was announced. “You’re a little Mexican warrior. You’re a Mexican warrior.”
Nevertheless, Diaz wasn’t happy with the decision. The Californian and his camp believed he had done enough to earn the win, which went McGregor’s way on scores of 48-47, 47-47, 48-47. His team-mate Gilbert Melendez said: “I thought you won that shit, bro. Three rounds, that’s all we needed.”
Both McGregor and Diaz have expressed an interest in a trilogy bout, with Diaz submitting McGregor when they first met back in March. The Irish fighter doesn’t believe it’s an immediate priority, but the American appears to have a different take.
Yesterday he took to Instagram and said: ”By this time last fight I had already accepted [the] rematch. Rest up. I’m coming for you.”
The full episode of UFC 202: The Thrill and the Agony, which is available to watch on UFC Fight Pass, is well worth a look and features an interview with John Kavanagh, as well as McGregor rubbing shoulders backstage with Kanye West.
