Young Irish defender included in Pep Guardiola's Man City squad for US Tour

Tyreke Wilson has been called up for the trip Stateside.

IRELAND UNDERAGE INTERNATIONAL Tyreke Wilson has been included in Manchester City’s first-team US Tour travelling squad.

Pep Guardiola has called the 18-year-old defender up for the Premier League champions three-match pre-season tour.

City face Borussia Dortmund at Soldier Field in Chicago this Friday, before heading to New York for a clash against Liverpool on 25 July and there’s a meeting with German giants Bayern Munich in Miami on 28 July.

The former Cherry Orchard schoolboy will hope to see some game time Stateside and catch the eye alongside some of the biggest names in the game.

The left-back made the move to Manchester from Cherry Orchard and Wilson — son of ex-Ireland underage international Carl and brother of Shelbourne’s John Ross — has risen through the Ireland ranks from U15 level.
