THE SECOND DAY of racing at the Cheltenham Festival was marred by two more casualties.
Featherbed Lane and Abergavenny became the fourth and fifth fatalities at Prestbury Park today. They were both hurt in the Coral Cup.
Featherbed Lane was pulled up by James Best shortly after the fifth jump and was euthanised. Brian Ellison’s Abergavenny fell at the third and had to be put down suffering from a leg fracture, officials said.
