'You gonna do somethin' about it?' - Things get feisty with McGregor in the next TUF episode

This is ‘the must-see episode of the season’, apparently.

AFTER A BREAK from your TV screens this week, the 22nd season of The Ultimate Fighter will return on Wednesday night — or the early hours of Thursday morning [3am], to be precise — on BT Sport.

According to this teaser released by the UFC, it’s ‘the must-see episode of the season’ too, as UFC bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw joins Urijah Faber’s coaching team.

Conor McGregor — who’s coaching eight European UFC hopefuls against Faber’s US team — isn’t Dillashaw’s biggest fan, and he doesn’t hesitate to let him know.

A short clip of this exchange was broadcast when this season of The Ultimate Fighter was launched, but this latest trailer reveals more about what happened at the TUF gym in Las Vegas during the filming of the show in the summer.

“I absolutely despise people who are disloyal. TJ is infiltrating his gym and trying to take what he has,” McGregor says, as he tries to warn Faber that Dillashaw isn’t to be trusted.

“There’s a little snake in the grass right there,” adds the UFC interim featherweight champion, in reference to Dillashaw.

Another member of Urijah Faber’s coaching team — UFC bantamweight Cody Garbrandt — appears to take exception to McGregor’s comments, hence the ensuing scuffle.

Dillashaw announced his departure from Uriah Faber’s Team Alpha Male recently and things have subsequently turned sour, so Faber and Garbrandt might be regretting standing up for their former team-mate with the benefit of hindsight.

Admittedly it looks like nothing more than a playground scuffle here, but it’ll be interesting to see if anything more develops from the incident in Wednesday night’s episode.
