Tropical temperatures led to unique scenes in the Premier League today

Leicester’s Danny Drinkwater lived up to his surname this afternoon.

THERE WERE UNUSUAL scenes in the Premier League today.

A temperature of 30 degrees in East Anglia meant the game between Norwich and Stoke was temporarily halted so the two sides could take a water break.

There were similar scenes in the game between Leicester and Tottenham.

Water breaks were previously adopted in the World Cup after a proposal was put forward by Italy coach Cesare Prandelli, while Jose Mourinho had previously called for the Premier League to follow suit.
