Croly expected to be confirmed as new Hoops boss

The club has announced that they will unveil Stephen Kenny’s replacement on Wednesday.

SHAMROCK ROVERS WILL unveil who their manager for next season will be on Wednesday afternoon, it has been announced.

The Hoops, who sacked Stephen Kenny back in September before Brian Laws arrived as director of football for the remainder of the campaign, have ended their search for a new boss after interviewing a number of candidates.

While it has yet to be confirmed, former player Trevor Croly is the man expected to take charge. Croly is currently Liam Buckley’s assistant at St Patrick’s Athletic and also worked under Michael O’Neill as his No.2 but is keen to take the plunge into top flight management.

A statement from the club reads: ”Shamrock Rovers will hold a media conference to announce the club’s new manager this Wednesday afternoon (November 7).

“The event will take place in the Maldron Hotel, Tallaght at 12noon.”
