TOULOUSE BEAT TOULON 13-12 over the weekend in the French Top 14, making themselves league leaders in the process. For Florian Fritz, the result came as more of a relief than anyone after he wasted this ‘gimme’ try-scoring chance in the second half.
With referee Alexandre Ruiz playing a penalty advantage, the France international centre somehow ignored a huge overlap to his right and chipped in behind the sparse Toulon defence. While the communication from his teammates would have to be questioned, Fritz’s decision-making was hard to believe given the situation and the numbers outside him.
Is this the worst example of decision-making you’ve seen or are there worse offenders out there?
Hi again Murray! I was shocked at how that turned out, but this isn’t the only situation where a bad decision being made costs you dearly. Remember Paddy Wallace in 2011 against Wales in the 6 Nations, when he had Earls outside him with just one defender running at him and he chose to cut back inside. Conor, is Murray your new BFF?
Oh Lord Jaysus above tonight and today…
http://youtu.be/Z0yRPlA8bO8. Poor Earls we all including PW have a bad day
And that’s why they make the big bucks.
Jasus, our J1 team would’ve scored against them in tuis situation :D
