What training should you be doing less than two weeks out from Tough Mudder Ireland?

We’re only ten days away from the big day so Pat Divilly is here to take you through those final preparations.

TAKING PLACE IN Punchestown on the 4 and 5 October, the first ever Irish Tough Mudder is now just around the corner.

There is still plenty of time to get some training in before the big day, so here’s what personal trainer Pat Divilly suggests:

Training two weeks out (to be done three times over a week):

  • Interval Running:

- 30-second jog, 30-second sprint
- 30-second jog, 45-second sprint
- 30-second jog, 60-second sprint
- 30-second jog, 60-second sprint
- 30-second jog, 45-second sprint
- 30-second jog, 30-second sprint
- Take a three-minute break and repeat three times

  • Pull ups: Five sets of five or three 60-second holds.
  • 40m bear crawl: Repeat three times with minimal rest between sets
  • Ice bath: For two minutes
  • And to finish with… a full body stretch and some foam rolling!
