What training should you be doing less than one week out from Tough Mudder Ireland?

With just days to go, Pat Divilly is back to help you get those final preparations in.

TOUGH MUDDER TAKES place in Ireland for the first time this weekend. Ahead of the event, which runs over Saturday and Sunday at Punchestown racecourse, personal trainer Pat Divilly has come up with a handy training schedule to make sure you are ready for the big day.

Training one week out (to be done three times over a week):

  • 1km run: At your own pace (Once this week).
  • Bear crawl: 50m followed by 10 squats. Repeat five times.
  • Push ups and mountain climbers: 30 seconds on 10 seconds off. Repeat each four times.
  • Pull ups: Five sets of five or three six-second holds.
  • 1km sprint
  • Ice bath: Two minutes.
  • And to finish… a full body stretch and some foam rolling.
