Spurs announce the capture of French midfielder Etienne Capoue

The Toulouse man joins fellow new signings Roberto Soldado, Nacer Chadli and Paulinho at White Hart Lane.

TOTTENHAM HAVE UNVEILED Etienne Capoue as their latest signing after completing a deal with Toulouse for the France international.

Capoue had previously completed a medical at White Hart Lane and has now finalised his move after agreeing personal terms.

The 25-year-old came through the youth ranks at Toulouse and spent six seasons in the first team for the Ligue 1 outfit.

He had been linked with a move to the Premier League for some time, and Tottenham have fended off reported interest from the likes of Cardiff to bolster their midfield options.

He becomes Andre Villas-Boas’ fourth signing of the close-season, following the captures of Roberto Soldado, Nacer Chadli and Paulinho.

Capoue made 174 appearances for Toulouse, and has seven caps for France.
