Duggan and her Man City team-mates celebrate -- but their win helped Liverpool clinch the title.
LIVERPOOL WERE CROWNED champions for a second straight year on a drama-filled final day of the Women’s Super League.
Chelsea started the day with one hand on the title, two points clear of Birmingham and three clear of Liverpool.
But they lost 2-1 against Manchester City whose second goal was this superb chest, swivel and volley from England striker Toni Duggan.
Chelsea’s slip handed Birmingham a chance to snatch the league but they could only draw 2-2 at home to Notts County.
And so Liverpool leapfrogged both their rivals with a 3-0 victory against Bristol Academy, taking the title on goal difference.
Well, well, well…
