How great would it be to use the Sam Maguire to do the ice bucket challenge?

Former Dublin footballer Tomas Quinn got his hands on the cup once again.

THE NOVELTY AROUND ice bucket challenges has died down significantly in the last few days as every single person, famous or not, seems to have dunked freezing water over their head for a great cause.

But while the buzz has worn off, Tomas Quinn added a twist to his challenge today that was pretty great. Rather than use a clichéd bucket or a bin, Quinn used a pretty special chalice to complete the icy task.

Using the Sam Maguire is good but the Champions League trophy would be great. Perhaps Zinedine Zidane can respond to Marco Materazzi’s cheeky challenge by following Quinn’s lead and using a famous trophy.
